At SEK, there is widespread agreement that school trips are of great educational and social value to students of all ages. There is a number of reasons we believe these experiences are important for our students. To name just a few, school trips facilitate the learning of abstract concepts and they increase interest and curiosity as they add variety to the regular classroom lessons.
Today we enrich the educational possibilities of students by teaching them from hands-on experiences, rather than by simply reading or being told about something. Field trips involve students in a real-world experience making learning more meaningful. They also help to develop social awareness, being an excellent method of teaching students to observe, ask questions, and learn about the world around us in the process. In short, the whole experience ends up being a motivating and memorable one.
From volcanoes to safari parks, from museums to Mayan archaeological sites, field trips are special and enjoyable learning moments.
